EXPECTATION

1. Not White Sand. Gray Sand but VERY soft.

2. Not good to bring kids. Wave hits every 5 secs. You can't do floating in the ocean. Careful of stones near surface of the ocean, they hurt. But just keep on walking it will get better. The waves push them there.

3. Come between 5PM - 6PM, no one is allowed to swim nor surf.

4. Cannot drink alcoholic beverages beside the beach.

5. You can't have your own bonfire, there are specific places for bonfire. This is for everybody at 8PM everyday.

6. On weekends expect noisy campers. Best to go on a weekday.

7. There will be flags to where you can only swim.

8. At night they have performers who sing, you can SING ALONG.

9. Our budget of PHP1,200 is based on transportation and our stay in Crystal Beach. This includes their PHP250 consumable food too.

10. They offer Kayak, Ball Games, Body Massage, Island Hoping, and Surf Lessons.

If you are good with the EXPECTATION listed above, let's proceed. But first, here are some teasers.

Let's start how far your PHP1200 would take you.

HELPFUL TIPS:

1. We took the LRT to avoid the EDSA traffic. Travel time from Manila - Crystal Beach is 5 HOURS.

2. This does not include any alcoholic beverages.

3. The camping package includes PHP250 consumable for food. Expect the food to be around PHP150. So bring extra.

4. From San Narciso, tell the conductor to drop you off where Crystal Beach Resort is. Take the tricycle.

5. Reservation is a must to avail the camping package. You have to deposit half the amount - PHP225.

6. Drinks either Water, Beer and etc no matter how big, CORKAGE is P50 each. You can add P50 to your package to avail unlimited drinks (to bring inside the resort).

(Depends on how big the group is, ALL should pay PHP50 per head) The camping package would be PHP600/each.

7. There are 2 sari sari stores outside the resort. You can buy beer, hard alcoholic drinks, shampoo, and etc. If you were able to avail the unlimited drinks package, you can just go outside and buy. Don't forget to bring the receipt since they are tight in security. Corkage for hard drinks is PHP500, better avail the unlimited if you are going to go hard.

8. Don't lose the receipt! They will look for it once you have checked out.

9. You might think there is no decent CR or shower room. Look for "White House", this is their common CR where you have privacy when taking a bath and peeing.

10. Bring extra if you want to enjoy Shakes, Pizza and Pasta. The only restaurant near the beach is "Dude's Pizza". Their Carbonara is so creamy and Dude's Special Pizza (Small) has a lot of toppings compared to (Large).

Like I said food is at around PHP150. For breakfast, we added PHP20 - PHP50 on our budget. But if you want to have the buffet breakfast, it is P250 (consumable) + PHP35.

SURFING LESSONS by Quicksilver Surf School (PHP400/hour/person; inclusive of the board and instructor's fee)

Island Hopping to Capones, Camara Island and Anawangin Cove. (depends on the number of people. The port is in San Antonio you have to pay PHP150 to get there)
